Quick question (I hope)

I'm hoping to knock two room into one in my new house, and I'm going to need an RSJ to go where the wall used to be

The gap will be 4300mm and it only supports the upstairs rooms (one 3400 wide the other 2000 wide) and whatever wall I build on top (studwall at the moment). The roof doesn't sit on it at all

How big a beam do I need

Any help greatfully appreciated

Thanks Chaps,

Plans (as ever) have changed, but thanks for the offer Lemansman, I may be in touch anyway

BBT11, what are the three dimensions ? Is this not an "I" section beam

Thanks

Ben

203 = height. 102 = width. 23 = weight in Kg
