As part of my degree, i am looking for a one year work placement from Februry 2004.

I'm based in Cheltenham, but have a car and am willing to travel a reasonable distance (north Birmingham, West London radius).

I have experience far beyond the bounds of my Computer Network Management and Design course. I'm looking to work in an IT operations or 2nd/3rd line support role.

If you have any contacts that would be of use to me i'd be very grateful.

I did my placement with BT Major Business, I could give them a call and see if there is anything going this year.

What kind of thing would you be looking to do exactly - I wasn't too sure based on your degree info. is it computing or telecomms?

If you are interested let me know. My placement scheme within BT was Very good and very helpful to me. Highly recommended.

I'm looking for either. My degree is heavily based around infrastructure, cabling, switching and routing.

My experience is more systems based. I'm happy to do either.

BT are on my list, but a name would be immensely helpful.

OK - I'll see what I can do for you then - I can't promise anything as my placement was within HR but hopefully someone will know someone who....you get the picture!

Good luck in the hunt!

In the meantime - check here:

For current vacancies

For general information

(Don't laugh at the picture and sound file of me that may appear on that second link under "Who am I" - I was very unwell when I did the pics and recording!)

Sorry - I am having no luck whatsoever in finding anyone who can help you directly.

They all say go through Ragtime and wait for the jobs to appear - not much help at all I'm afraid!

Good luck with the hunt
