Offices wanted

We want offices in Newbury and Milton Keynes areas over next six months, we need 1100-1400sqf,with car parking. Any offers?

I've been doing some searching too over the last week and haven't found any particularly well coordinated database of commerical property as is found in the private sector. Does such a thing exist?

PetrolTed, Commercial agents in my experience are very tardy and very slow, well in fact virtually everything with commercial office leasing is slow (unless you just deal directly with the landlord). Also agents cover very wide areas so your man just round the corner might only have a few premises in your area. Best ways I've found are by word of mouth or by driving around and writing down telephone numbers off Commercial For Sale Hoardings. (Maybe there's an OfficeHeads business opportunity for a database web site!!)

torquemada, if you live with being about 20 mins from Newbury, I can thouroughly recommend an Office on the Ardington Estate between Wantage and Harwell. The estate has about 60 converted offices workshops most of them around 800-1500 sq feet in lovely rural locations, parking is not an issue. They never advertise and you need to contact the Estates Office direct. They have very fair leases, will do short term leases and are easy termination clauses. They are also generous on building improvements and considerably cheaper than offices in Newbury itself.

Talk to the Economic Development Unit at the local council. They will have a list of available property on their database.

We are commercial and industrial landlords in the North West and we get lots of leads that way.

It's called Home Farm, Ardington if that helps. It's the village where my Dad grew up, and my cousin had an office there up until a few months ago.
