Companies House U-turn on SME P&L filing requirements

No idea, other than what the article said,
"Companies House did not issue a statement, but said the accounts reforms are under review following stakeholder concerns about the need to “strike the right balance between tackling economic crime and avoiding undue burden on business”. They confirmed that a final decision on the reforms will be announced shortly."
Not really sure what the issue is as this was the way it was done in the past.
With regard to another comment in the article attributed to the Department, I can't see how the change would add an additional burden as all the accounts preparation packages I've used allow you to submit the full P&L with the accounts or just the filleted ones. You just select a different option when sending.
