Can anyone explain this refund?
Discussion
Received an email from Amazon business a few days ago saying that they were confirming the refund of something I'd purchase last summer.
Assumed it a scam and ignored but this morning, get an alert from the bank to say the money had been paid. Checked my Amazon account and it's legit!
Didn't ask for a refund, have no issue with the product, so just curious as to why I've got one! It says the reason is Account Adjustment but I can't see what needs adjusting.

I also just got a refund (£365) from Amazon for a bit of diving kit I bought. Explanation on the account is due to it being "lost". It's not lost, it's sat in my living room, although it did take a long time to arrive. Very strange.
Probably because the tracking failed so the system thinks it's lost.I had a return like that recently. I sent it back as instructed but somehow it never appeared as sent; it never got beyond 'Print postage label'. I had to contact Amazon to get the refund.

I received a refund for some dog treats meant to help with his arthritis. Apparently, they were counterfeit, even though I purchased them directly from the manufacturer.
Yu-Move ? There are supposed to be a lot of fakes about. We order from the manufacturer, but not had a refund.Red9zero said:

I got a refund for fish water testing kits amazon said they weren't delivered I sent an email back showing them in my hand. I was told to keep the refund?
Amazon are pretty good with refunds. We are always having our deliveries go to our neighbour by mistake. Sometimes she will pass them on to us, sometimes she won't and she rarely answers the door to us - although she will answer the door to Amazon and take parcels labelled as ours. Amazon are aware of this and as soon as I complain that the driver has done it again I get an instant refund and am told if we do get the delivery then to keep it. I assume it`s often cheaper for them than to spend any time querying it. I returned a £28 item that I'd bought through Amazon which didn't work and the only option was it had to be posted back to the supplier who was in Slovakia. Sent it through Royal Mail tracked postage, cost was £13 which Amazon credited to my card. They told me I'd have to wait until the supplier had received the item before I'd be credited with the £28 item value.
After about 3 weeks the item was delivered back to me by RM, with a sticker saying 'refused by consignee'. I contacted Amazon again and they said that I now had one of two options:
1) Post it back to the supplier in Slovakia and wait for a refund (der ???)
2) Amazon would credit my card now with the £28 and I could keep the item
Guess what option i accepted?
Pity they didn't offer that in the first place, would have saved me and them a lot of trouble.
