It works really well
The seller chooses what they want, Royal Mail or Evri, then you get a QR code and send off at either a parcel shop or a post office, and you get a tracking number.
You will need to factor cost of packaging into your costs when selling
I think it works really well, automatically provides the tracking number to the app and the buyer.

I have been using it and it seems better than going to the post office and buying/entering a tracking number manually, in terms of ebay tracking the postage and paying you on time once it is delivered.
They also insure the item for the purchase value, sometimes not an option on on postal services i.e. £50/£100 limits.
So far, so good for me.
I have also used their global shipping program for international sales on an item I sold for £160. I was paid once it reached the UK Hub for international distribution. I was happy with that too, rather than waiting for it to arrive in Australia.

Can’t help feeling that eBay will be facing a court case for anti competitive practices from one of the courier companies or a parcels comparison site before too long.I’ve been using it recently as well, mainly because a certain comparison site that makes Parcels Go 2 their destination offered zero assistance when an eBay item was wrecked by an American based Express courier & said courier, after investigating, told me they wouldn’t deal with me because the comparison site was the account holder. I wrote it off in the end as it was a low value item.
Personally I’d still prefer to have the option of who to use, Royal Mail collections in particular always seemed to work better when arranged direct versus an eBay integration.
This new Simple Delivery only option to send things is just one massive rip off.

For example - I sold an item weighing less than 1kg for £79.99 and Ebay charged the buyer £5.15 postage. It was a small parcel sent Tracked 48 and used to cost £3.70 collected with Royal Mail arranged through Ebay. They are simply marking up the postage cost to the buyer and pocketing the difference.
I've been selling on Ebay for nearly 25 years. This is the worst move they've ever made and I'm about done with it.
PS to answer a question upthread regarding Collection. If you opt for Royal Mail Tracked 48 then you can use the tracking number on the Ebay generated postage label to arrange collection on the Royal Mail website. It costs 30p to do so mind.
