Best B2B platform
Discussion
Hi guys.
I am currently running a B2C Shopify site but we are gradually converting the business in to B2B, the plan was to keep the standard Shopify plan we are on (or set a new one up) and with some apps and coding we would create a B2B.
However I am now thinking of looking at alternatives which might offer an off the shelf package of what we need?
Wordpress is always an option and we did use it for years prior to Shopify too so I am familiar with it but there is tons of other companies I have not heard of which might be worth considering.
Any tips?
I am fairly handy with Shopify (and probably WP) so I can do most of the work myself, its just the final stages and technical/coding stuff I would get a developer to help with.

ShopWired has good support for B2B as well as B2C from one store.
We nearly moved a site to them from Shopify but they don’t integrate with Linnworks (despite saying they do on their website). If you don’t need Linnworks then it’s worth a trial as it seemed to work quite well and easy to set up.

Thanks, I think I did come across their site the other day actually. We nearly moved a site to them from Shopify but they don’t integrate with Linnworks (despite saying they do on their website). If you don’t need Linnworks then it’s worth a trial as it seemed to work quite well and easy to set up.
Do you know the approx costs with them?

B2B on Shopify is only really good on Shopify Plus which needs turnover of about $1m to make sense.
Shopify advance has apps but it’s a bit clunky and you’ll need a decent dev to properly integrate it.
Yeah I figured, we initially considered Shopify as thats what we have now for B2C but seems stupid trying to develop and manipulate the basic package to do something its not meant to. Shopwired seems good as an off the shelf package, I will book a call with them.Shopify advance has apps but it’s a bit clunky and you’ll need a decent dev to properly integrate it.

To set up a 2nd shop is a great approach, just I wouldn't do that in shopify. Another platform or best an independent shop on.
Reason being that you can test and it cannot be cancelled due to some icky customer attention.
