We import 10-20 containers per month so are fairly small - we rely on our shipping agent for ETA's generally but wondered if there was something out there that we could use to track the vessels and estimate ETA's?

Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance

Have a look at AIS tracking, various sites and apps but I've used www.marinetraffic.com before.

Trouble with guessing the ETA is that you can track the ship to the channel and then it parks up outside the IOW for a week....

All of the shipping lines have a tracking service you can use, if you know the container / booking number.

Just google search for '<shipping line> tracking' and it'll bring it up.

I use marine traffic to give me the noon positions of certain boats - seems to work fine.
