This might be a bit of a strange question but if a small postage& packing company (well known around UK ) charged me an additional £19 for insurance of a small box of items then as it transpires has just send the box with parcel force (who from experience do not pay out for any broken items of this nature so additional cover etc not valid) .is it possible that they could have there own additional postage cover separate from parcel force/royal mail , if there is such a thing ?
Who would be responsible if someone's expensive purchases arrived damaged or missing?

Resposibility is to who you paid the £19 extra insurance charge (was it Parcel2go or similar?)

This is seperate cover, hence the extra charge and you should be covered, assuming whatever you sent was not on the exclusion list of whoever you paid.

There's a lot of missing info above!

It's basically a company who pack &send items .(From what it appeared on there website info they would be delivering it themselves) .

I know all about the parcel force ''insurance cover'' because they cost me £400 in breakages and didn't accept liability because of the large list of items excluded from cover on there website.infact there is hardly anything they will pay out for

Got a text from parcel force yesterday saying parcel delivery would be today ,now after just looking at the tracking and I see it's only just arrived in a depot not far from where it was sent from !.paid this postage company £60 postage for a very small box and it's taken nearly a week to arrive,I don't know they dont just use RM24 . very unprofessional service given the price paid
