Are there any sites where I can run my own comparison for an electricity supply to a commercial unit.

I will be a micro user, (in the region of £200p.a ,so don't really want to waste my own time or that of a broker.

Thanks in advance

Surely if your usage is only £200 per year, the difference between suppliers can't be so great?

Any time you spend on this could surely yield more being applied to the business.

Apologies if I've misread/misunderstood your OP. smile

No need to apologise ...legitimate question.

Commercial standing charges can vary quite a bit. I want those to be low, and less worried about unit cost.

It will have limited business use...more of a house overspill, so if aI can save £50 rather than line the pockets of an energy provider, I will gladly do so

I used uSwitch for business once. Got a call from an agent from Bionic calling to discuss who promptly recommended a company with atrocious reviews and huge charges. Best doing the leg work yourself in my experience.

I've used this site for the past few years (as recommended by fellow PHr Mr Overheads): https://www.energylinxforbusiness.co.uk/energy-sea...

Update

Went through Bionic in the end...quite a slow process but they're motivated by the commission so are keen to get you signed up. Who knows if I got a great deal, as a lot of it is smoke and mirrors, but I'm only paying 30p a day standing charge with EON Next for a 3 year contract, which is lower rate than a contract I arranged on another unit two years ago.

Could have got fractionally cheaper with a supplier called yuenergy, but given the problems with smaller suppliers going to the wall, thought I'd opt for one of the bigger boys.

With Bionic: Make sure you watch out in 3 years time....do NOT miss their email renewal offers.

Stay away from Bionic. Read all the small print.

Currently challenging them after they signed us up to the worst deal going. I think they have some back handers going on and they seem to move everyone to Yu Energy when its time to renew.

The first contract they find you will be good but a year before renewal they will sign you up to whoever pays them the most commission. They claim to have emailed you the options and as they received no reply will go ahead and sign you up. Contact them now and request they do not sign you up to new contracts.

Can you tell i am pissed off with them.

On that sort of usage I would look for the one with the lowest daily charge.
