What's a reasonable charge for a month's water supply at a vacant/unoccupied single unit shop premises?

Anyone?

No water useage - around £20-£50 per month

Would that be some kind of 'standing charge' even if there's no meter ? (It's an unmetered supply)

Without seeing your contract it’s difficult to give anything accurate.

However your water bill consists of many things apart from actual water usage. i.e. standing charge, waste water and surface drainage.

If you don't have a meter it will be a fixed annual cost, used to be called water rates. What it costs totally depends on the size of the property.

Why don't you just ask the water supplier?

Good idea (sort of). Not that easy to get the person who could tell me, but got there eventually.

Seems the answer is £35+/-.

Thanks to all for responses.
