Registered business address and VOIP
Discussion
I’m looking to mask my business address now we’ve given the office up. I’m currently using my home address as a temporary measure, but would prefer to have something longer term set to a PO Box, or something similar.
Likewise. The new fibre connection no longer uses a landline so I’d like to setup a VOIP service so I can still take ‘landline’ calls instead of using a mobile number on the website.
Any recommendations for this service?

Plenty of options out there for registered address services, some look a bit more obvious than other. I pay around £100 year for director and registered office and it does the job.
I've used voipfone.co.uk for probably 15 years without any issues. Always happy to recommend them. Don't know how well they'll integrate with your BT router but I just use a cisco deskphone and it works fine. Any hardware of software which uses SIP should suffice.

Thanks for the replies. I’ll check the VOIP suggestions out.
What options are there for a postal address for a Limited company? That’s my main criteria really, as the home address doesn’t look very ‘professional’ in my view.
How would they know it's your home address? Many business we supply are for example HSBC, 40 North St, Taunton etc. What options are there for a postal address for a Limited company? That’s my main criteria really, as the home address doesn’t look very ‘professional’ in my view.
What is to say it's a residential address.
Just usebyour company name and your home address.
https://www.global-virtualoffices.com/g-services/ I know a few who have used that - think it scans post and send on and all that.

What about having your registered address at your accountants?
They are stopping you doing that now, or making it harder to be legal https://www.gov.uk/limited-company-formation/compa...

Zadarma is good, good quality with convenient pricing. Likewise. The new fibre connection no longer uses a landline so I’d like to setup a VOIP service so I can still take ‘landline’ calls instead of using a mobile number on the website.

Yes as i was told by my accountant, its to do with the address given needs to have someone on site who is "acting on behalf of the company"https://changestoukcompanylaw.campaign.gov.uk/impr...
A document addressed to the company, and delivered there by hand or by post, would be expected to come to the attention of a person acting on behalf of the company
