I run a pub and currently use Dojo for our card readers - they integrate well with my till system but the costs are very high.

Anyone here use card readers that are 4g/Wi-Fi enabled with decent processing fee transactions. I think I’m going to have to move away from an integrated (till amount automatically gets put into card reader) reader to a non integrated one.

Thanks

I have a Sum reader but haven’t used it much.

I got it primarily because nearly all the market traders here(French as well as English) use it,so I thought ‘they can’t all be wrong’.

Dojo massively increased their prices a year or so ago as I used to be with them, I moved to Takepayments.

I pay .38 for a Debit and .75 for a credit card, Terminal will be about 25 a month but I got mine on a deal for the motortrade which means I pay no terminal rental.

Give them a try as they may come up with a slighty lower rate depending on how much you are feeding through it

Good luck when you try to leave, I gave notice in Early March, they lie and weasel through the whole process, Barclaycard, who actually process the payments were utterly useless.

Four times DPD messaged to say they were collecting the terminal, yet never showed, I’ve had markers put on my credit file.

And only heard last Thursday that the account has been closed.

That sounds high for Dojo, I'm with them and pay less than that. Could be based on turnover though.
Get a quote from Take payments and play them off against each other. Also worth noting that the PCI compliance is A LOT easier with Dojo, also cheaper than take payments, at least in my experience.

It seems Dojo are infiltrating everywhere locally to me in Farnborough (GU14) at the moment, having never really come across them before, their machines arrived in my local butchers on Wednesday, they're also now in the local pub, and I saw the machines last night in 7Bone Camberley as well.
