looking for some advice on expense cards for staff

we looked at the tide as they seemed to fit the bill perfectly but dont allow certain types of transactions (ie pay at pump for fuel) - not great for a transport company.

can anyone recommend anything for 6-10 expense cards for staff members with cards that will happily work for contactless and pay at pump transactions?

I got an amex business.
Have about 5/6 additional cards for employees.

Generate points and its fine for fuel everywhere etc.

Points are not insignificant.

If it is just fuelling, why not go for a fuel card instead?

aaah if it was just fuelling it would be a nice easy solution, fuel cards all round

but our drivers especially are spending 30-40 a day on airport pickup/drop off fees so would ideally need to be an expense card

We use Pleo, seems to work as you want.

Used PLEO and CaponTap recommend PLEO from those 2. CapitalOnTap closed our account and it took a week to come back online, calling them daily after a card was used (by our employee) in Ireland.

Thats unfortunate. I was using a COT card in Ireland (North and Republic) last week and no issues whatsoever.

Just my experience of them, much preferred the PLEO cards.

Tried Pleo, was a pain having to top it up all the time, switched to capital on tap, much easier to manage as it’s a credit card.

I have a business Barclaycard which has a monthly limit on. Just have to check the statement and send in all my receipts every month to our accounts dept.

Just remember business cards from Amex are personally liable, only the corporate cards aren’t

Same. The company automatically settles the bill every month and we just supply the receipts to verify everything. In theory you can use it for personal use (one chap bought a TV as he supposedly used the wrong card), but it involves a lot of paperwork.

It must vary, because the (green) Amex my company gave me has ‘Corporate’ emblazoned on it, but I’m liable for the bill.
