Issues verifying business on Google

Hi,

My wife owns a business and we'd like it added to Google maps

I went through the process of listing it and quite rightly so Google want to verify the business.
We went through all the steps and the only option to us is to upload a video (followed all steps) and submitted the video. Google want it re verifying and we don't know why. There seems to be now what to contact them and we have had no feedback as to what was wrong/missing so we are stuck
In the mean time when you search our business the competitor shows up on maps and are getting our business and I have a feeling pretending to be us

Any ideas how to move forward getting listed on maps?

It's a pain but you just have to keep at with the verification...

Registration with Google can be a slow process, as already said, resubmit the request adding in as much info as possible.

In the absence of your business, Google search / maps will show all other similar and relevant businesses in the area. So it’s not a case of them pretending to be you, they are just capitalising.
