myself and my mate naively thoughts could make a mint buy buying garden furniture from a whole sales and selling online.

bought £800 worth and basically ending up keeping it and giving to family. was a rubbish idea.

we closed the company. do I need to file any accounts? despite not having any bank accounts etc!?

now the account is closed I can't seem to get a CT activation code?

I know we've made a mess but u live and learn.

It sounds like the company has been successfully closed. If HMRC did not raise any objection to the striking off, then there is nothing more to do.

If the company DID make a profit during its short life, legally it should have paid some Corporation Tax on that profit. Therefore, you should NOT have closed the company down until the tax was paid.

However, based on what you have described, it sounds like it only made losses, so I think you will be OK.
