Hi all

Last month someone tried to place a very small order on our website. The payment was declined (invalid card details). They then tried again and again (around 6000 times in total) with different card details each time. Obviously someone trying out dodgy card details to see if they work. We’ve made sure this can’t happen again (blocking foreign cards/orders placed abroad/number of payment attempts allowed). However, we’ve just received a bill from our card company and these transactions have cost £300 odd in authorization fees.

I’m appealing this, as all down to one fraudster, and we’ve taken immediate action to stop it happening again.

Think I’ve got any chance of getting the money back?
