Parcelforce :(
Discussion
Sender assures me the box was dropped off mid-Wednesday afternoon (7 June) for 24-hour delivery. So it should have been here yesterday - but by the end of yesterday it was still at the collection depot, and it's spent all day today at the Hub. Probably won't arrive here until Monday... is that normal? There seems no way to talk to anyone at Parcelforce to find out what's going on.
I've been using Parcelforce successfully for about a year however I sent a parcel recently via their 24hr service to a customer. Should have arrived the Friday before the last bank holiday, it was finally delivered the following Wednesday. I got on to Live Chat and was refunded half their charges as they had failed in their promise. Thankfully my customer didn't have a problem with a few days delay, it was more annoying for me. Hope yours makes progress soon!

Thanks. There's nothing I can do about it and all humans have been removed from the system so I shall just have to spend a few more days without a driveable car, I won't get to the boat on Sunday, and Monday's appointment and other work will have to be postponed. Perhaps the staff at Parcelforce don't think through the consequences of being useless.I think any compensation should be paid to the recipient as they're the one inconvenienced.
UK freight is operating almost as a cartel.
Just got worse this morning with the announcement that one of only 3 IDW (Irregular Dimension & Weight) carriers, Tuffnells enters administration today.

If the government want to focus on something fundamentally useful it's this industry.

I've got the same issue with a purchase I made. RM say they've delivered but I've checked my cameras for the entire morning and not one RM man/van came into the road.
I'm now cancelling the order because as far as I'm concerned the supplier hasn't delivered. Its surely their issue to resolve and if RM suddenly find it, they can return it. It was tracked too!!!

Yep, I begrudgingly used Tuffenlls because some of our products necessitated the use of an IDW carrier.Just got worse this morning with the announcement that one of only 3 IDW (Irregular Dimension & Weight) carriers, Tuffnells enters administration today.

Fell out with DX years ago when they were NightFreight. I see that DX settled an industrial espionage dispute with Tuffnells (Tuffnells accusing them of bribing staff for information etc.) on Wednesday last week. Clearly DX are no better than when they were NightFreight!
Who is the third as we need a solution ASAP!
They're all crap to be honest, even Amazon are useless in my experience, about 1 in 4 packages get delivered somewhere else and vanish into thin air, I'm then left with their woeful refund process, order the same thing again and hoping it will arrive the next time.
I've even caught the delivery driver delivering a parcel for me to a neighbour, he was claiming it's delivered to the GPS location even though the address on the package is a different address, b****ocks!
DPD seem to be the best of a bad bunch IMO.

I love the calling card notes and when "Handed to neighbour", definitely isn't the house next door; or 'handed to resident' when nobody was in all day.
I once had 'Handed to receptionist'. I don't have a receptionist. But in the drivers' defence, it's probably done by a tick-box system and there is no tick box for 'Threw it over a fence'
The Covid practice of leaving it on the step actually works well in post-Covid times, or at least it does around here. It saves an awful lot of re-delivering or picking it up from the sorting office.

Have all humans been removed from the system? I spent a Friday a couple of weeks ago waiting for a Parcelforce 24 delivery that never showed. Rang up Parcelforce and had someone to speak to after about 15 mins on holdI think any compensation should be paid to the recipient as they're the one inconvenienced.
Turns out it was the sender's fault

I tried the only number I could find - 0344 800 4466 - but all I got at the end of the trail of menu options was an automated message saying what I could already see on the tracking page. I know it's at the Delivery Depot but I want to know when they going to deliver it because I have stuff to do and plan. What number/route did you use?

We use Tuffnels at work, and it is sounded like they might have just gone pop….
You and a lot of people it turns out, including Evans Cycles, Black Circles and Spaldings Tractor parts to name just a few big names. IDW/ugly stuff - things bigger than a box/parcel, but smaller than 80kgs pallet?Freakuk said:

I can honestly say in the last few years I’ve not had a single parcel go missing and I get several delivered every week. The worst thing that can happen is they get dropped into the ‘safe place’ or ‘delivered to neighbour’.Gassing Station | Business | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
