I am a sole trader who covers approx 20000 miles a year. I was told about fuel cards and how one could save me money.
Looking online, there seems to be a few but all want to know all your contact details and seem to be marketing companies. I don't have time to be called multiple times a day trying to sell me stuff, so, for those who have or looked and didn't get one, are they worth it, and if so, which is the best, for savings more than anything else.....

They aren't sales companies, they are brokers who will set you up with the best card for your usage and what fuel stations are near you.

Right Fuelcard Company are good.

We've used Wex Esso card for the past few years - been good. Fuel Genie is a free one for supermarkets (we pay 50p p/month for a plus card which gives you access to Shell also).

Casually looking into this myself currently, also a sole trader covering approx 25k miles a year and the card I am looking at (Greenarc) offers 3-5p a litre less than pump prices

Do you get discounted fuel at the supermarkets?

I have a Fuel Genie card, it just means you can use it at supermarkets and take advantage of better prices, unless its my local Tesco in Basingstoke who are robbers and are more than other garages in the area.

I also have an Allstar card which allows me to use other garages but I pay the price on the pump.

I have asked my accountant about using Costco (cheaper than everywhere else) and paying with my company CC and he said its fine because I am being taxed for fuel benefit anyway.
