How many Tier 2 Visas can a small company sponsor in a given timescale?

Tier 2 is now known as Skilled Worker.

Company can sponsor in effect as many as they need. You will just need to apply for more Certificate of Sponsorships (CoS) for each person you wish to sponsor and have a genuine need for the vacancy.

You have to ensure they meet the English language and financial requirements too.

What industry are you in?

We are in software development 40 staff. The vacancies we need to fulfil are listed on the Home Office web site, and we already have 3 sponsored employees. For some reason I thought we were limited to 1 certificate of sponsorship per calendar year. I've spent a couple of hours this morning trying to find confirmation of a limit on the number of certificates we can apply for, but can't find any mention on Home Office website or other sites.

No limit, so you should be able to apply for as many as you need.

Drop me a PM if you need any assistance, I can recommend a corporate immigration firm who can assist.

Hi,

I'm looking to recruit someone from overseas and wondered if you had any tips for the process. Is it fairly easy to apply for the licences/certificates or should I employ a company to do this? Would prefer to keep costs down so if I can do it myself I'm happy to put the work in.

Would it be better to recruit in as a freelancer (to minimise risk) or on PAYE?

As far as I can see the costs are:

£536 worker licence
£199 certificate
£364 immigration skills charge
£500 optional fast track.

Thanks.
