Not going into the issue at hand but does anyone have any idea how to get through to Evri to report an issue? The livechat system goes basically nowhere and the automated, voice-controlled phone system never recognises the tracking number. Hoping someone has another means of reaching them.

Not me, and god knows I've tried, but I suspect that even if you did get through it wouldn't do you a bit of good.

I managed to get a response by emailing their CEO, it took a few days and didn't resolve matters but it was a response which is more than you get using their abysmal Webchat.

Ben there, done that, it arouses a burst of activity from their 'customer services' laughdepartment but there's very little actual engagement by them and the effect doesn't last long.

I tried throwing in words such as theft and misappropriation and suggested they challenged me on my accusations but that didn't work either, they really are the bottom of the barrel.

Try putting a 1 star rating on Trustpilot, it got a response from those other muppets Yodel when I was having issues with them.
They're all going to be overloaded at this time of the year anyhow, especially with the postal strike adding to it.

Thanks all. In this instance, my wife has been selling some of the kids' old, unwanted toys on eBay and Evri are usually the default option for "eBay Delivery". She's spoken to eBay who have helped her raise a case. Suffice to say she won't be selecting them again.

You're honestly better off getting in touch with whoever shipped your order, they will likely have an account manager at Evri who will deal with issues for them.

In my experience, persistence and patience will finally get you through to someone. It won't resolve anything and only reduce your will to live.

That said, I've used Evri lot lately and, other than a couple of 24 hour deliveries arriving a few days late, they all got there.

Evri aren't the "default" you have to choose them. You can pick Evri, DPD, UPS, Inpost etc. But Evri are the cheapest so of course you choose them

Don't see how you get to choose which carrier within "eBay Delivery":

I used Evri to send two parcels. Paid the fee, got two labels to put ion the parcels and set a collection date. They never arrived. I went in line, my tracking numbers didn't exist!

The start point for online chat, telephone contact, email, web whatever IS the tracking number so I was stuffed. I even collared the Evri delivery fellow and he shrugged and walked away.

So I paid for the service BUT impossible to contact them.

It was one of life's lessons. I use RM now.

I ordered a number of presents back on 8th Dec which the merchant (various) used Evri to send the goods. Following the tracking details you can see the parcels started off their journey normally but due to the bad weather it all went haywire and then no update on the tracking details after 13th Dec until yesterday all marked "delivered".

None were delivered, CCTV confirms it too.

IMO the courier has just marked all the packages as delivered when in fact they are lost or stolen.

Add to that an M&S return was supposed to be picked up by Evri before Christmas - no show. Rebooked for yesterday - again no show.

I f^^^ing hate the useless b&*&^%ds. I am completely happy if they are honest and say packages delayed or lost, or they can't make a pick up til tomorrow etc but it's the lying by saying stuff is delivered when it's not that winds me up as then it's up to me to convince the merchant I haven't had it when the courier says it's delivered.

I would happily only shop with mercants who are mark their web sites as "Guaranteed 100% Evri free" and pay extra. I don't need the Evri crap. Hermes were bad so changed their name but that is all they have changed.

So to update/close the thread, the original issue we had eventually sort of resolved itself - the item was delivered some weeks after being sent. Unfortunately it was something my wife had sold on eBay and had refunded the buyer when they asked as she assumed it was lost for good. Lesson learned on that one.

They also managed to disgrace themselves with something I ordered for her for Christmas. The item was coming from China (not made clear at the point of ordering which is annoying but also not Evri's fault there), that took about three weeks to get to the UK, then nearly two weeks for Evri to get it to our local delivery depot. A few days passed, they said it was out for delivery - nothing. Following day we get "there's been a delay, will attempt again tomorrow". Few more days pass and then "returning to sender", without having had the order cancelled or refused.

I thought that this level of blind incompetence was reserved for government...

I’m in the same situation. Does anyone know how to solve this Groundhog Day problem?

Do you think this is genuinely Evri’s postal address (i.e. for a complaint letter)?

Apparently, Evri’s poor performance came up in Parliament:

But I don’t rate the Government’s chances of getting past Evri’s chat bot, Holly.

Another one here waiting on a parcel to be delivered by Evri. Been waiting since mid-December, so just coming up on a month late. The supplier (an international medium sized brand) has raised an issue with them two weeks ago. Nothing. The stupid thing is, they've delivered to me at least twice during the time I've been waiting for this other parcel.

Just ordered something from Fatface a few days ago not knowing they also use Evri. Looks like it's going be to a real gamble as to whether this stuff turns up or not.

They MUST be close to being finished as a business now...
