I have been trying to send a package by royal mail to the republic of Ireland - it came back once with no particular explanation, so sent it again - the tracking app tells me its now on its way pack to me, due to a customs issue.
I messaged An Post who tell me that a Taric code is now required for all packages sent there from non EU countries. there seem to be literally pages of codes - for everything imaginable, however I havent found one that relates to my need as yet.

flipping brexit.....

Once you get familiar with how the codes work, it's fairly straightforward to find the right one.

What's the item?

I'd go with

68099000

Articles of plaster or of compositions based on plaster (excl. plaster bandages for straightening fractures, put up for retail sale; plaster splints for the treatment of fractures; lightweight with plaster agglomerated building boards or articles for heat-insulation, sound-insulation or sound absorption; anatomic and other models for demonstration purposes; non-ornamented boards, sheets, panels, tiles and similar articles)

The daft thing is that your EORI is essentially your VAT number, but you can't just use your VAT number. You have to apply for your EORI, and they'll tell you it's your VAT number and then you can use it.

I am not VAT registered, just a 2 person partnership - looking at the EORI stuff I need to apply for a number, using the UTR for our partnership I guess

I guess once I have this set up, its fine - but it just seems a right carry on at present

You may have to add "00" to the end to turn it into a Taric code
