Web Domain - How best to sell

Hi All,

I have a web domain I purchased 5 years ago that I no longer require. I have tried to sell through Go Daddy with no luck.

Please can you recommend some alternative sites / methods to sell a domain?

Could you put a static ‘Domain For Sale’ on the front page of the website?

I would imagine anyone looking for a domain name similar to yours would open it up to have a look?

A good domain in isolation or one where the value is in good back links?

If the former, try Sedo but be aware that it’s not a very liquid market.

If the latter try direct approaches to prospective purchasers.

I've sold through Dan.com.

Pretty hassle free and netted a nice profit, although not sure what its like since GoDaddy bought them out recently.

I did have a static domain name for sale on the home page, clearly no one is looking for it

As advised, I have just placed with Dan.com.
