Does anyone respond to the now regular calls from companies doing "surveys on behalf of the Government"?

In the last couple of days had calls from Ipsos and Cantor (sp?).

The callers sound genuine enough but they always ring at a bad time and I'm relectant to engage with someone when I don't know who they are.

I guess these "we surveyed 1000 companies" stories have to come from somewhere.

My first thought is that the survey results are immediately skewed to people who answer, and engage with, cold calls.

A survey has to have the correct sample to be valid.

I just hang up... or transfer them to extension 166. (Look at https://youtu.be/oB28pL0UOrw if you're not familiar with voipfone 166, always makes me chuckle doing it laugh)
