Hi

I'm not sure if this is the right area sorry but I know there's ebay sellers here.

I bought something on the 10th Aug, delivered on 12th August. Unfortunately there was a part missing, so emailed to say, and was told on 15th the part would be sent out.

Still not received, emailed yesterday to chase and told this morning that he's not sure what happened and will send another today.

Now these things happen and I'm not chasing it hard (as long as I get it) but I'm just concerned that if the seller keeps stringing it out there will be a point where I can't ask ebay to step in and sort. Does anyone know how long this is?

Thanks!

I'd report parts missing now so ebay have a record of it - "Report a problem". Seller's had over a week to get the part to you and informing ebay can make them make more effort. Chances are they won't have any spare parts if it's chinese, but it depends on what it is I suppose.

30 days, but there's no harm in you opening a case any time now and simply closing it when the missing part turns up. It will highlight to the seller that you won't accept any messing around with them trying to drag it out until 10th September.

As others have said.

Open a case immediately, do EVERYTHING through eBay.

Be polite, however they have processes in place, so use them.

Yep, above is spot on - open a case now. It'll spur the seller to fix the issue too.
