Have a few shares in the above company.

Last night they were trading at 733, this morning however when I checked they were trading at 410.

Does anyone know the reason for the huge drop in price ? All reports on the company are excellent (that I can find).

Just wondered if there were other reasons.

Would be grateful for any information.

Gone back up to 740, i'm lost.

Thing thats pissed me off is the fact that I do not know what was happening (only just started dabbling in shares) & 10 minutes ago could have bought a load more at 410.

Think I need to do more homework on this share malarky.

I think you will find you most likely had a problem with your data provider - if you check here you can clearly see they have not dipped at all. http://uk.finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=PUB.L&t=3m

Punch put in an offer for the Spirit Group earlier in the week. Didnt see the follow-up on the story, but maybe someone leaked they couldnt afford it, which then proved incorrect?

You will probably find the answer on the FT website somewhere.

I suppose the news that Enterprise Inns/Cinven have decided not to bid for Spirit Group puts Punch back at the head of the queue to buy them (or bits of them anyway). No way did the price drop 3 quid then back up though, so you haven't missed anything
