Very boring,I know but,if an employee receives "death in service" insurance is this classed as a "benefit in kind" and therefore taxable.I think I know the answer but....over to you.

Life Assurance/Death in Service is not a taxable benefit - you won't see it on your P11(d)


edited to add that partner life assurance is considered a taxable benefit
