anyone ever had a custom aquarium built for their home? If so, can you give a company name who did it? Not having a lot of luck scouring the web etc.

You might try Aquarium shops in your Yellow pages, some will use custom tank builders for contract work.
I've commisioned quite a few special tanks , but my chap has retired.
my last tank had to have the room built around it as the glass alone was 1/4 ton

I've spoken to a few shops/centres but they have all been pretty unhelpful. I actually want to discuss requirements with someone rather than giving the shop dimensions for them to pass on which is all they have offered to do.
