Okay. I have over the last year developed a product...entertainment based but for mass market through various providers.

Trouble is, I need someone to help me sell it. I'm very good at creating things (if I say so myself ;)) Technically and visually not a problem, but I need to get this to market...fast.

What can I do? Are there 'good' people who will sell on my behalf, by good I mean trustworthy and honest?

Thanks.

can you say more about the product, is it for example something for the home or business market, ie a home karaoke machine or a lighting/pa system for a club (I know not exactly going to be these but you get my drift)

It's a home karaoke machine!!!!!!!!!!!

No. Hard to explain without saying what it is, and I'm sure you will understand my reluctance to do that.

It's a new media based entertainment application, huge viral capabilities, multiple revenue generating, global....all those good things.

Hope that's suitably vague enough.

I can think of a PHer who deals in something similar... imagine craigw is thinking along similar lines.

What you probably need is to present your product to several distributors / partners. If, for example, your product is likely to be sold through retailers, then find the companies who supply these retailers and propose that they can have distribution rights in exchange for some type of Royalty / Commission. Also you could build into the agreement some level of minimum investment to retain any exclusivity.

Thanks all, in fear of replicating the telemarketing thread (bad experience with them in the past) but the protential customer list for this is so wide and varied it needs someone to search, target and close..ABC and all that.

Trouble is my day job is running my business and I can't devote as much time to this product as I want too. One needs to feed the monster!

Thoughts?

To state the obvious, you need to outsource to a good sales person/team. With no base salary and unkown(as yet) product you'll have to offer bloody good commission/share options to tempt a decent sales person. I mean a real closer, not some spotty numpty

Or negotiate a one of sale of the rights to the product to a larger company and therefore only have to worry about making one big sale?
