Hi ,
Could anyone answer the following for me.
I am looking for a Bank that I can pay cheques into ( so Local) maybe HSBC, TSB, Halifax, Natwest etc.. that I also gets intrest and I can pull cash out from without penalties
We do have a Co-Op account but is closing down its local bank so we will have to travel across the other side of Bristol to put cheques in.
Regards

Cater Allen private bank have free banking, but you can only pay in over-the-counter at Royal Bank of Scotland branches or else by post.
Of the High Street Banks, Lloyds are currently offering free banking for an introductory period. Length varies depending on whether or not you are a personal banking customer (or agree to become one). My wife has been offered 18 months free banking as she is an exsiting Lloyds customer, for example.

I've just applied for an Abbey business account. Penalty and fee free banking forever subject to some transaction limits - may not suit all of course but worth a look.
At the same time I applied for a business reserve account - to save surplus business related funds in.
