What would you consider a good first year?

We just pased the first year mark and we are still here. Hurrah!

Then that's a good year!

Too many variables? What do you do, how many staff, turnover, etc.

well done! The first year is the hardest, or at least it was in my case! Once you get through the second and third years you will have something to measure performance against so then you will know how good the first year was.

A good first year is still being in the game and with plenty of ideas of how you could have done it better!

I can't remember the exact statistics, but it's something like 90% of failures are in the first year. If you get through this the odds look good. So well done!!
