Anyone have any recommendations for a good CC processing company? Need to be able to take CC's and DC's via the website for a variety of products (between £60 and £1400) from UK and US.

Worldpay are rather expensive when you factor in fees etc. Did have a look at www.protx.com who seem great on the cost to impliment front but I've not heard much else about them.

Just need to get an IMA setup now as well

TIA for any tips.

www.securehosting.com

If you already have a merchant account you can add online processing for around £85/yr (not checked this recently)

If you don't have a merchant account then they can still help you but the charges are different.

I found worldpay to be excellent in regards to customer service and ease of setup, pricing isn;t the best, but then I was happy with their system.

Cheers,

I tried Worldpay and would'nt use them again.

I'm currently setting up an account with www.securetrading.co.uk. They've been around for a while and most importantly (for me) are a UK based organisation.

Hi,

Don't forget you need an SSL cert for taking orders.

I recommend www.instantssl.com

They have three products £40/70/£100 per annum
depending on the level of warranty you require.

SSL means that the web browser goes to secure mode (https - with a padlock in the bottom right if your using Internet Explorer) for data sensitive pages.

I would recommend you use https for login pages as well as credit card processing pages.

Seek professional advice before you begin.

Best of luck,

Thanks for the advice guys.

Secure Hosting seem to be the way to go. £85 gets you fully secure SSL on their server and another £25 gets you on-line processing which can also be used in place of a conventional terminal.
