WATER REGULATION INSPECTIONS
Discussion
We had a guy in earlier in the week from 'PIPEWAY'
They claim to be working on behalf of SE Water.
They left a photocopy of a letter that states that under THE WATER SUPPLY REGULATIONS 1999,they have a statutory obligation to carry out an inspection of the premises to ensure compliance with the water regulations.
Is this genuine or is it some sort of scam?
Anynone had similar contact/letters?
Cheers

I had a similar issue with a chap from a company called S + S who said that he was authorised to review the electricity meter I was using and update it if necessary. I said, "Who are you? My electricity is supplied by Southern Electricity". Apparently, S + S is the new corporate acronym for Scottish and Southern - who now own Southern Electricity.
It's hard to keep up with who the hell you're dealing with these days.

Yep me !!
and later on you will recieve a bill for water drainage, they will measure up your frontage ie carparking spaces and if any work area, the bill is based on calculations on how much water will fall onto this area, thus charging you for the drainage,
And i thought we had a water drought/ hose pipe ban.
