Event sponsorship with Beyonce

Hi

I have just been approached to help raise some money for a charity (AIDS research) fashion show being held in London in Spetember. The organisers havbe everything sorted including having Beyonce as a model there, a bunch of cuture companies, storm models etc.

Not really my field to be honest but I have said I'll help them with some of the organising. The key requirement at this stage is for sponsorship. Anyone know anything about this? Virgin have comitted all their funds for this year already and that set back is why I have been asked to help. Other than simply contacting a bunch of obvious companies, anyone got any ideas?

Thanks Ted. I have worked with a number of start-ups, done all the documentation and raised money, was going to approach this in a similar fashion but not sure if that might be a bit overly "corporate". Ordered the book which I am sure will help.
