A certain company which uses large red vans and may well be regal has lost yet another parcel. As such I'm going hunting for a new courier firm.
Any recomendations? Have used a company which sounds like an explosive before and not got on well with them.
City Link any good?
Best Regards
Matt

A friend sent me this link:

However I've never used them so can't say if they're any good.

This is all very subjective.
I would certainly recommend Citylink, good rates, prompt service, email if the delivery fails.
However the next person to post will say they are cr*p and would not touch them with the provbial barge, let allow the pole that comes with it!
It is all down to the depot and people who staff it. My MK / Aylesbury branch and its local driver is excellent

All overnight couriers work on percentages, if they deliver 98% of their parcels OK then that is considered acceptable. Sounds quite a good percentage unless you are one of the 2%!
Most of these parcels are mis-routed and turn up fairly quickly but a few are never to be seen again, these are usually borrowed along the way by staff as it is fairly difficult to actualy lose a parcel into thin air!
You have to accept that whomever you use there will be a time that something will go missing, the only way to avoid this is to send each parcel dedicated same-day with a company such as mine (not plying for work just explaining) then each parcel becomes the responsibilty of a single driver and as such has traceability. Costs a fortune though

PS we use Citylink for our overnights if thats any help.

often they aren't stolen by staff (sometimes they might be though )
i used to work for a big delivery firm (which sounds like it might also sell deodorant) and we'd get regular break-ins into vans out on deliveries. the possibility of the returning driver, seeing a broken open door, then taking the pick of his remaining packages is unclear though
