Public Liability Insurance

Gents.... Could someon please explain what it`s all about and whether I need it. I am a self employed driver driving other peoples trucks/vans on their insurance. Sort of a one man agency if you like.

It provides cover to other people and their property that you might damage/injure through your negligence. It doesn't cover you for motor road risks though.

A lot of companies expect "agency" drivers to have it, but it's a bit pointless really. I mean how much damage can you do whilst getting in/out of a vehicle, or loading one?
