I have had quite a bit of greeting card experience. Not much of it good unfortunately. Terms are poor. payers are poor.
Best of luck!

Chap I used to work with got into this.
Last time I spoke to him, it sounded like a lot of work for not a lot of return...

I had a froend who was selling greeting card franchises. He let me sit in on a meeting with a potential client. It was a few years ago, but I do remember thinking that it was a crap idea.

Our printing division prints millions of cards for a lot of card companies. If you want to mail me the details, I'll see if anyone knows of the franchise and any background info.

What are they actually selling? The chance to sell their cards or do they already have shops that you just get to service.
Either way I wouldn't pay 2p for a greeting card franchise.
Have you bought the specialist greeting card business magazine? I'd recommend you subscribe. Can't think for the life of me what it's called as I've successfully managed to erase all memory of my greeting card company from my mind.
In fact, I was so pi$$ed off with the industry that I've never bought a card since!

Aceparts

the business is servicing displays in existing outlets i.e. they set up the outlets & I look after the customer. All of the purhase fee is covered by stock on the shelves and stock in storage.

Why are you so negative about the greeting card business? Bad experience ?

Cheers

Whenever I go into the likes of Clintons it seems like a license to print money. Perhaps it's not then.

What sort of markup do the likes of Clintons have do you reckon (not interested in running this sort of business just interested if they are ripping me off as much as I guess they are)

Ok, clintons want a MINIMUM of 360% profit (back in 01).
Average card costs 20p to print.

360% profit? for every £1 you make in profit, you have to pay them £3.60?
