We have a client who may want to do a high volume mail shot. Does anybody have any experience of this and an idea of the costs involved for the postage element??

You should be able to get the price down to about 15p but it depends on i) volume (don't underestimate the fact that the BIG volume mailers are posting millions of items not just say 20 or 200k), ii) the service you need (how quick you need to get the mailing to the end place) and iii) various other more boring things like mailsort options. I can advise more - on a consultancy basis of course - if you like? Geoff

We between 2p and 3p for First Class Mail.

But then we do sort it all into sorting house bundles and we do send 120 million mailshots annually...

This is very complicated and as from April 1st it gets worse. We do loads of mailing for clients - the key is the accuracy of your data.
