Recruitment agencies

Looking for good recruitment agencies for IT consulting jobs (we're recruiting not applying!) Currently use computer futures, but am sure if we used a couple of other big agencies we could get a better range of applicants. In particular we need an agency that will filter through the cvs and get to know exactly what we want rather than bombarding us with tat.

Why not cut out the middleman and either

1. Ask on PH (you don't need a C++ contractor do you? ) or
2. Create a recuiter account on JobServe and post up an advert yourself.

Incidentally, why choose a big agency? You'll pay through the nose and they won't necessarily get more applicants because all any agency does these days is post on JobServe / JobSite / CWJobs / PlanetRecruit / etc., which a small agency can do just as well as a big one.

TBH you probably need to give them a better brief. Throw loads and hope one sticks is very old style agency recruitment.

Correct - unfortunately we have dealt with some old style agencies ! Comp futures are doing well, just looking for alternatives. We've got the first ad up on Jobserve as well.
