I believe you can do anyhitng that doesn't relate to the main(?), spurs(?) are fine to work on.

Just an overheard conversation. Might have been about someone going to a football match rather than a race circuit in germany though

Yes, I suspected as much, I've heard similar. But then who would know??? What I want to do is not rocket science, but I just want to be sure.

Cheers. I'm more confused than ever now!

Does your work included additions to existing circuits (such as additional lighting points or socket outlets) in special installations and or locations as defined in Part P?

Yes, I want to install a floodlight and some extra power sockets in the garage and some extra power sockets in the 'office'
So I click on "In special installations and or locations"

Then niceic pop-up said:

Kitchens, bathrooms, Swimming Pools, Saunas, Electric floor or ceiling heating systems, Gardens, Solar Photovoltaic power supplies, Generators, Extra low voltage lighting NOT CE marked

No mention of garage or office at all - so I presume I am safe?

Where's DustyC when you need him!
