Factory Manager.Admin Required
Discussion
Not sure if this is OK on the forum.
I have just taken over the running of a medium sized family company [turnover £7m region]. It's a pretty bad way structurally, the ex-managemebnt team had pretty much run it into total chaos!
I am left with a factory in need of a complete restructure. I have formulated rough plans but am unable to do anything without assistance.
I have a need for someone would help me plan and implement changes to the whole administration and production process, from creation of job sheets to the loading of wagons. They would then be responsible for the continued running of the production facility. The following are some of the areas they would be responsible for;
*Works team management and training [approx 30 staff]
*Job allocation and tracking
*Collation and analysis of factory output
*Quality control
*Time sheet production and analysis
*Transport planning
*Factory layout
*Method statements for all aspects of factory
They would be working directly with myself and the current Warehouse Supervisor, controlling 6 warehouse works teams totalling approx 30 staff.
They is also a less pressing need for someone with similar qualites to work in the office side of things, manageing customer accounts and planning works programmes.
The companies products are [do not want to give full info];
old metal baskets, refurbished [weld, zinc plate]
various new & used equipment graded and dispatched
I'd really like to work with an enthusiastic and ambitious graduate.
The location in near jct 29 of the M1 [Derbyshire]
Wages negotiable but with very good prospects if it's the right person.
I'm 32 and from a design background who moved into IT [database design] and am now in manufacture!
Thanks
Andrew
