Website template advice...

I am thinking about buying a website template at www.templatemonster.com, however I have this big question hanging over my head. 'IF' I buy this template, then does this mean that the designer or even templatemonster.com have some sort of rights over my website, including the contents of it ? Do they own any of my site ?

I would appreciate to hear of anyone who has gone down this path and can give me any feedback on this topic.

They don't own your site or your content - you effectively buy a license to use their design - that's it. They will always own the copyright of the template design and the design only.
