Verifying Authenticity of Armani Boxer Shorts
Discussion
I've got the opportunity to buy "Armani" boxer shorts, for a very good price wholesale. This obviously raises the question, are they fake and if so, how could you find out.
If you were retailing goods such as this, how would you go about verifying authenticity? Would trading standards be able to tell? Who could give you an answer?
As much as I couldn't be sure a pair are genuine, the wholesailer won't 100% guarentee their authenticity.
What would you do?

You've just answered your own question i think.
A but put yourself in their position, unless you got them direct from Armani how could you ever say they were genuine?
They retail at £35 each , have been offered them for a lot less than that...
If they are made in quantities of anything over 100,000 then the cost of them is close to £1 each, so anything over £2 is ripping you off!
£35 retail is a rip-off too, they are not made any better than £1 Matalan boxers.
It's not like they are limited edition, or hand-made like some of their suits, or seasonal either!

You can by fake Armani / Calvin boxers on any street corner in the west end / London market stall for £5. Unless you are getting them a hell of a lot cheaper than that I would stay well away. Most of the fakes I have seen are Emporio (sp?) Armani rather than Georgio and come in little cardboard box with Emporio Armani around the waste band.
My advice unless you are knocking them out on a market stall stay away.
