copyright advice needed

I post regularly on another board for girlies (big flouncy dresses is my line of work) and wondered if any of you guys would be willing to pop in to offer advice on copyright

the fact that at least one other designer thinks they've had their designs copied too makes for a pretty strong case, but I've no idea how intellectual property or copyright works.

I presume a cease & desist letter would be the first step though?

righto - am doing shed loads with copyright law at the moment so should be able to help.....considering it's tiara (tiaras tiari?!) I'm not entirely sure why you're bothered unles you're a well known designer and your brand is valuable? cant find your website to chekc.....

Pls post pics up here or mail them to me and I'll give you my vaguely considered opinion!

it's all relative really. A small designer today, a big designer tomorrow. and Nichola (www.atiara4u.com) is a well known designer already

well that's why I asked Serious point though...dont get too hung up on things like this. The realistic impact on your business is likely to be almost irrelevant...
