My daughter is starting out in the graphic design field, she has already done crash helmet designs for a GT racer ,album covers for local bands and logo's for various people.
She is currently blasting the field with her A level work and would welcome another challenge and some exposure, if you think she may be able help drop me a line through my profile.

I'm confused - are you asking for a good company name or want a logo? Surely the two are separate. You should work out what you want to call the thing first based on (in your case) being able to get a good, easy understood and remembered domain name (as well as ensuring no confusion with competitors who may pick up on your business); then work out how the graphic will look.
When you get to stage two I know some good people for producing logos that link well to your business, but they will be a few hundred quid. Mail me at ianhendry@hotmail.com if you are interested.

Correct. Initially, it was a logo. But I said it was confusing becasue the company name, as shown, was too long. The hyphen just makes it worse.
If this is a start-up business, then it's not too late to make the name shorter and snappier. If I can't remember the name of a company, or where the hyphen goes, I'm unlikely to try hard to find it.
Well the company sells recordable media. The name of the company is based on the domain of the company which prompts peopele to look at it on the web after seeing it advertised.
Recordable Media is a popular search engine term for the products I am selling and in terms of getting up the search engines, having a domain name as the same name as a key search term does wonders for geting up the search listings.
How does a hyphon make the name of the company more confusing?
Mmmm maybe if I differentiate the end of the domain with colour...

That's very sound logic - in fact faultless. OK, you're stuck with the name then! It was just that 'recordable-hyphen-media-dot-com-dot-au' was getting a bit hard on my simple brain cells.
How about putting Recordable and Media on two lines, and ditching the '.com.au', at least for the logo. That will still work in search engines and be shorter.
