Nope, could be anything, its all down to individuals unfortunately. I've been inspected twice by IR and once by HM Customs. Nothing major, the first IR inspection got me a refund, the second confirmed ny work was outside IR35.

Just be polite and helpful, try not to babble, don't volunteer anything, and try not to look like you have something to hide!

Sound advice from Victor. If you have contractors working for you, ensure that you can explain why you consider them to be contractors and not employees.

Also, beware of any questions about "perks" your staff may receive from the company - over and above those that you might consider as normal Benefits in Kind. The Revenue have been known, sometimes, to start getting smart about trivial things such as tea and coffee.

Blimey here for almost 5 hours !!!

happy with Ni and paye records

want a bit more detail on expense recording, ie who and why..

trying to stiff me for when i sold the car to myself..
which should be interesting as how do you value a tvr...

but it was mainly an IR35 fishing trip...

should be ok but just have to wait now.. off the the pub shortly

Yeah that's guaranteed unfortunately .. they have to pay for their petrol money + hotel !

We ended up paying £1600 because a car was declared at the wrong value for a few years - only a lowly Ford Mondeo but it all adds up

Well the worst bit is over. just spoken to them and they are happy that we are not an IR35 service company. To be honest i couldnt see how we could be but its still a worry only taken them a month or worry and i only found out as i phoned them up !!!

just got to wait and see if they are going to try and stiff me on expenses and car valuation...

worst case is about 5k but i think it should be ok..
