Looking for web hosting
Discussion
I am looking for a new web host. The one I currently use is ok for my web site (not particularly easy) but the email side of it is crap.
So recomendations please. I don't need much space, I would like it to be easy and I want email that I can hook into my outlook.
Thanks

www.123-reg.co.uk works for me; easy to use and understand. I have severeal small websites hosted there with web and e-mail forwarding set up.
I've been very pleased with www.oneandone.co.uk. Been with them for around 4 years. Very big outfit so will be around for a some time.

I'm with www.fasthosts.co.uk ... not been with them long so only time will tell in the end, and email support isn't great, but their phone support is second to none, and this is the first host I've ever had that with.
I also use www.brightservers.com and for the price, I'd thoroughly recommend them. Very fast email support. Extremely helpful guys. If you decide to go with them, tell Nick I recommended you (anna), as I definitely owe him one for fixing the mess I made when I deleted server config files by accident...
pesky comma screwed up the link

Even though i have a virtually direct line into their support (freinds work there and was a school with the MD) the service i've had as been entirely an invariably crap. The actual hosting is quite good, reliability not so fantastic, and they're far to eager to censor what you have on your website.

Having said that they're not as bad as some of the other companies out there. It's very easy for some spotty teenager to just 'become' a webhost and look rather professional.

(He's a top lad and resells space on one of Jamie's dedicated servers, so it's a safe bet. )
