General Employment Law Question
Discussion
Guys and gals,
looking for some general employment law advice/pointers.
Background:
I previously worked in IT but am currently out of the business and having to do a part-time job 05:30-09:30. I have an interest in cars, run a TVR, and know a couple of local independent garage workshops. As I have a fair bit of "free" time I was thinking of offering my "services" free to these garages in return for on-the-job training.
Leaving aside the fact that they might not be interested due to my limited current abilities, I would be interested in any advice regarding the "legal" side of this type of "employment", from either my or the prospective "employers" point of view.
For me, the only point I can think of is if I am unable to work at my current job due to an injury received while working for "free"?
All advice welcomed.
Kenneth.
