If I wanted to set up e-business with a link to Worldpay to accept payment does anyone have any idea of the cost of setting up such a site including the integration with the Worldpay?

Any recommendations of designers I could use?

iirc worldpay has a £150-£250 setup fee (depending on which 'offer' you get)

integration isnt that hard, took my coders about a day to fully integrate, test and launch our side.

The hardest part was compliance with all the AUP/Refund Policy/T&C/World Pay Conditions (no sale of domains for more than 2 years etc!

As for whom, the world is your oyster

I'd suggest looking at www.protx.com, £20 per month, no other transaction fees.

As for hosting, approx £15 per month for decent UK shared servers, dependant on bandwidth obviously.

If your predicted sales are low it might be worthwhile looking at Paypal. Neither Worldpay or Paypal is difficult to set up, in any case.

Email me if you want a quote for how much my team can develop your site...

Yea, good advice there.

PayPal is a good basic solution but does lack the "real" e-commerce edge that you get from a "real" online merchant account. WorldPay does have some nice anti-fraid systems, but most accounts you have to wait several weeks for your payments to clear where as paypal is instant.

Protx I have heard some good stuff about but yet to use. They have a nice price, but considering most companies (I currently use Natwest's Streamline) charge £20 a month, NOT including transaction charges... so it does make me wonder where they cut the cost - could well be some mean deals on chargebacks and the like.

If you do need any more advice, I do this for a living so I would be happy to assist.
