Right.. I'm afraid i have to ask for some PH help. I am starting a business.. which is a new idea and its in the motortrade. I am having alot of trouble finding premises, but i think i might have found some. The trouble is i'm not sure they are in the right place for my market. Now, i could get these premises and not have a problem. Or it could be the worse descision of my life and cost me a fortune. To be honest its doing my head in and i'm not sure what to do, could anybody offer any advice as to how best to make the descision and what i should mainly base it on.

I would be extremely grateful for any advice offered.

Charlie.

Gut feelings count for a lot. If you think it's a risk now if things don't go well then you'll be kicking yourself in a few months time.

The area you operate is far more important than the premises you operate from - a good mechanic in a good catchment area working in a garage which may not be to his total liking is far better than having a fancy garage in a rough area with no custom.

Heck - I operate my business out of a shed in the garden, but we're the only decent firm that does what we do in our borough!

The premises are very nice and resonably smart.. In fact i would say they are perfect for what i'm doing, the problem is they are in Normandy, just south of guildford. My customers will be coming from north of guildford and im worried the 'mental thought' of the trip down the A3 and then the A31 would put them off.
